Job Title: Deployment Strategist
Location: Farringdon, London — Onsite Full-Time
Recorder is rebuilding commercial insurance from the ground up. Brokers are stuck with legacy tools and manual workflows. We’re giving them the modern software they deserve, with user-first workflows and clean data - fast, flexible infrastructure that actually works.
Founded by a team of previously successful fintech entrepreneurs (previous business raised $170m from PayPal, Amex, JPMorgan etc.), Recorder is bringing the speed and flexibility of modern SaaS to the insurance market. Now two years old, we’ve signed leading brokers and FTSE 100 insurers, have an incredibly strong pipeline of work, and are expanding rapidly.
The role
You bring Recorder into commercial insurance brokers and MGAs and own that transformation end to end, from kick off to measurable adoption.
You’ll help shape the next version of how we deliver: the discovery process, workflow design, adoption model, and the playbooks that hold up as we scale. You’ll be as comfortable running a discovery session with a Head of Operations as you are reviewing an API spec with an engineering team. If you’ve done this work at a larger company and want more ownership than that environment allowed, this is for you.
The Team
You’ll sit at the centre of how Recorder lands with clients, working alongside our business analysts, software engineers and the founders making the calls. AI is woven into how we work day to day, which is a big part of how a team this size delivers as much as it does. Most of us have spent our careers in fast-moving product companies, and we’re bringing that same speed and standards to an industry that’s mostly never had to compete on product before - the bar is high and the impact you’ll have is real. We work 5 days a week onsite in Farringdon, which lets us collaborate, move quickly and make decisions in real time. If you want to build, not waiting on a reply, this team is built for that.
What you’ll do
• Run discovery with technical, operational, and executive stakeholders, and lead the room you’re in.
• Turn messy reality into future-state blueprints: where AI reshapes a broker workflow, what changes, and what it’s worth.
• Own implementations end to end: scoping, build coordination, testing, go-live, training and enablement.
• Own large rollouts across an organisation. Map it out and sequence onboarding team by team so adoption spreads.
• Drive adoption past go-live. Dig into the usage data to find where workflows stall, and spot where Recorder should expand next.
• Translate what you learn in the field into product direction, and push the changes onto the roadmap.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
• Have 3+ years owning ambiguous, high-stakes outcomes and earning the trust of senior stakeholders. Consultants or managers from strong consulting firms, or product managers, founders, and forward-deployed or solutions people from high-growth technology companies all tend to fit.
• Have a builder’s instinct. You want to design and ship the solution, not just diagnose the problem and hand it to someone else.
• Bring enough technical fluency to shape an integration or AI workflow and hold your own with engineers and executives alike.
• Have executive presence, with a track record of becoming a trusted advisor to decision-makers inside large, complex organisations.
• Can take a half-defined problem, frame it, and drive it to an outcome.
Insurance experience isn’t required. Part of this job is learning how commercial broking actually works: broker and MGA workflows, carrier integrations, binding, delegated authority, schemes. If you already know that world, you’ll ramp fast. If you don’t, you should be someone who gets up to speed on complex domains quickly and finds that kind of depth interesting.
Bonus points:
• Insurance, MGA, or broker domain experience
• Rolling out AI or automation into live workflows
• Working hands-on with APIs and integrations
• Data-heavy B2B SaaS deployments
• A consulting, forward-deployed, or solutions engineering background
