Job Title: Technical Business Analyst

Location: Farringdon, London - Onsite Full-Time

Recorder is rebuilding commercial insurance from the ground up. Brokers are stuck with legacy tools and manual workflows. We’re giving them the modern software they deserve - user-first workflows, clean data, no repetition. Just fast, flexible infrastructure that actually works.

Founded by a team of previously successful fintech entrepreneurs (previous business raised $170m from Paypal, Amex, JPMorgan etc.), Recorder is bringing the speed and flexibility of modern SaaS to the insurance market. Just over 12 months old, we’ve already signed leading brokers and FTSE 100 insurers, and we’re scaling rapidly.

We’re hiring a Technical Business Analyst to help launch and scale insurance schemes on Recorder. You’ll work directly with brokers and underwriters to digitise proposal forms, map rating logic, and configure binding workflows. No specs thrown over the fence - you’ll stay close to users and see your work go live fast.

You’ll be a great fit if you:
  • Know how to gather messy, complex requirements and turn them into crisp workflows

  • Can configure structured forms, rule-based pricing, and document logic to an extremely high standard at speed

  • Think like a product owner and sweat the details

  • Are confident in client-facing settings and know how to build trust quickly

  • Can balance pragmatism with ambition—pushing the platform forward while keeping delivery flowing

  • Want to work in a high-energy, low-meetings, full-time in-office environment, in Farringdon, London

  • (Bonus) Understand delegated authority schemes and commercial insurance

  • (Bonus) Can read or write basic SQL

What you’ll do:
  • Set up new insurance products on Recorder - forms, pricing and docs

  • Work with brokers and underwriters to understand workflows and edge cases

  • Help scale our scheme tooling so we can launch faster with less custom work

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to prioritise platform improvements

  • Support onboarding, act as a technical voice for the client, and spot ways we can do more with less

Why join us?
  • No red tape, no unnecessary hierarchy - we move fast and ship multiple times per day

  • You’ll work alongside experienced founders and elite product and engineering teams

  • We’re building from scratch, not patching legacy systems

  • You'll have real impact and help define how modern insurance gets built

If you're looking to have real impact, escape bloated systems, and help define the future of insurance tech, let's talk. Email us at careers@recorder.tech.
