Portal AI Assistant 🤖 | Insurer DA Referrals ⏩ | Renewal Management Centre 📅

March Recap:
Q1 was a massive record quarter for Recorder. We hit a big milestone in March - £600m GWP has now been processed through the platform and we expect this number to double by the end of 2026. We also onboarded over a dozen new clients in Q1 and shipped twice as many new product features as we did in the previous quarter.
Complaints Module
We rolled out a new complaints module allowing brokers and underwriters to store compliant complaint details and associated electronic files against a client record.

Portal AI Assistant
We have now fully rolled out our portal AI assistant which is designed to help users navigate the Recorder portal. The AI is designed to guide users through real workflows, not just answer questions. Give it try when you next log into the portal by clicking on the floating Recorder folder.

Delegated Authority Insurer Referrals
DA referrals to insurers are often quite a manual process typically handled via email. When the underwriter at the insurer receives the referral it can be hard to understand what the trigger was and therefore they end up re-underwriting the whole case from scratch. Recorder has developed insurer facing tooling to make DA referrals a more efficient and scalable process - here is a short video preview:
Renewal Management Centre
Working renewals can be as much as 90% of the workload for our larger more established broking clients. We want to make this work more proactive and efficient by using structured data in Recorder to orchestrate workflows for executives - meaning they spend more time advising clients and less time on admin. Here is a short preview of the new renewal management centre we are working on - we expect to overlay agentic workflows in the future:
Events
The Recorder team had a very productive debut event at the MGAA Broker Exchange in London on the March 12th. It was great to meet so many existing customer and partners as well as make some very promising new connections. Recorder is looking forward to contributing to the MGAA community by building the digital API infrastructure to enable more frictionless trading between MGAA members and their brokers. Lots of exciting new announcements to follow in the coming months! We are already looking forward to the next Broker Exchange event at the Queens Hotel in Leeds in September.
The Recorder team was also demonstrating new features like email integration, indicative quoting and slip generation at Insurtech Insights Europe on the 18th & 19th of March. It was exciting to connect with so many new insurers and discuss their IHP transformation journey and plans for digital distribution.
We will be sponsoring the digital technology session at The Insurance Network’s Delegated Authority Strategy Day on the 23rd of April. Very much looking forward to sharing our vision for how technology plays a key role in driving sustainable growth in DA distribution. You can read more about Recorder’s DA solution in advance of the event here: Delegated Authority Module.
Finally its just 6 week until BIBA. We will be back at Manchester Central for another busy conference from the 12–14 May. You can find us in the same spot as last year - Stand F10.
Customer Story
At MFL Insurance Group, we have built a strong reputation in the insurance market, running both an open market broking business and a number of Professional Indemnity delegated schemes. As our scheme portfolio continued to grow, we wanted a way to get new ideas to market more efficiently while keeping our internal teams focused on underwriting and operations, not technical build which was clearly creeping more in to their roles, taking their focus away from what is important – servicing our clients professionally in an efficient manner.
The challenge: freeing up our team to focus on the work that matters
We were looking for a partner who could take the lead on scheme build and execution, allowing us to concentrate on what we do best. As our delegated schemes expanded, so did the amount of internal effort required to turn underwriting intent into a fully functioning digital journey.
That’s where Recorder came in.
Why we partnered with Recorder
Rather than adding more tools for us to manage, Recorder stepped in. Their brief was straightforward:
Turn our scheme designs into live, production‑ready journeys — end‑to‑end — without pulling our underwriters or ops team into the technical detail.
What changed
1. Build and execution moved off our plate
Recorder took responsibility for workflows, rating logic, document sets, renewals, and the full technical delivery process. We stayed focused on underwriting decisions and scheme strategy.
2. A partner that understands PI schemes
Because Recorder already understood the structure and mechanics of PI products, we didn’t have to spend time explaining the basics. That meant clearer communication and quicker progress.
3. More predictable delivery timelines
With one team owning the build process, schemes moved from concept to live stages on a clear, dependable timeline.
The outcome
No additional technical burden for MFL
Our teams remain focused on underwriting and scheme management while Recorder handles system delivery.Faster turnaround for new schemes and enhancements
We have been able to move new ideas forward more quickly and efficiently.A strong, professional broker experience
White‑labelled journeys that look polished, perform well, and support our growth.

“We moved from managing the build ourselves to working with a partner who takes ownership and delivers. Recorder didn’t just provide a system, they delivered outcomes and we are excited to future developments with them..”
— Dan Taylor, Broking & Operations Director, MFL Insurance Group
